Looking for the best places to stay in Casablanca? Explore this curated collection of highly rated hotels, ranging from ultra-luxurious to budget-friendly.

While Casablanca lacks the storied riads found in other Moroccan destinations, this bustling city still offers accommodations to suit all tastes and budgets. Having travelled to Casa several times, I always discover new hotels popping up and old favourites undergoing a revamp.

Mid-range hotels owned by international chains abound in the downtown area, offering well-appointed rooms and abundant amenities. Many of these are close to public transport, which is often a major factor for me when it comes to choosing accommodation in Casablanca.

For those watching their dirhams, Casablanca has its share of budget-friendly hostels and affordable hotels that provide clean, affordable rooms for backpackers and young travellers. Additionally, there are lots of comfortable apartments for those seeking a home away from home, complete with self-catering facilities.

If you want to splurge, you’ll find a handful of boutique hotels and high-end stays that ooze charisma, including a celebrated property in the Royal Mansour chain.

In this article, discover 10 of the best hotels in Casablanca, whether you’re after an affordable hostel, a self-catering apartment or want to experience one of Morocco's most luxurious hotels.

The Royal Mansour first welcomed guests back in 1952 and quickly became the favoured sanctuary of the Moroccan royal family. It has long been renowned for its sophisticated accommodations and exceptional service. Following a complete redesign, it reopened in 2024 more lavish and refined than ever.

Featuring 149 opulent accommodations that capture the essence of the 1950s, this ultra-luxurious Casablanca hotel rivals its celebrated counterpart in Marrakech. There really isn't anywhere better to stay if you can afford it!

Tips for finding the best hotels in Casablanca

When looking for the best hotel in Casablanca to meet your needs, it's important to take some time to think about the kind of experience you want to have. Do you just want somewhere affordable to sleep or do you want the hotel to be an experience in itself? In addition to checking the amenities, location and (most importantly) prices, I strongly suggest reading reviews from past guests to gain a deeper insight into what the hotel offers.

When browsing properties, consider the location as Casablanca is a huge city and not all hotels are concentrated in the centre. Many are situated in affluent neighbourhoods or along the coast, both of which have their appeal. Choose a Casablanca hotel that provides easy access to the attractions you want to visit, whether that includes the Hassan II Mosque, fine dining restaurants or trendy shopping areas.

Next, thoroughly assess the hotel's amenities and services to make sure they align with your needs. This could include a luxurious spa, cutting-edge fitness facilities or round-the-clock room service. If starting the day with breakfast (before leaving the hotel) is important to you, check whether this is offered and/or included.

Remember that every hotel in Casablanca charges a government-mandated tourist tax, which must be paid directly to the property. This fee is added to the nightly room rate and is usually settled during check-in or check-out. In the past, this tax could only be paid in cash, but most hotels in Casablanca now accept credit or debit card payments for the tourist tax. This small fee applies to each guest per night, with the exception of children under 12 years old.

As the biggest city in Morocco, Casablanca can be overwhelming, which is why finding the perfect place to stay is all the more important. While it doesn't have the large choice of riads that are synonymous with Marrakech, there is a wide range of accommodation to suit all budgets. In curating this list of the best hotels in Casablanca, I've tried to include something for everyone, whether you're after a boutique hotel, a budget-friendly hostel or an affordable apartment.
